This adapter lets you power your Raspberry Pi 5 via PoE (Power over Ethernet), whilst maintaining speedy gigabit ethernet.
Plug in a PoE-enabled ethernet cable and this splitter will output 5V power from its USB-C connector, and gigabit data from the ethernet connector. The USB-C connector can be used to supply your Raspberry Pi 5* with up to 3.5A, which is enough for most Raspberry Pi setups, even if you're using power hungry peripherals like the 7" touchscreen, the official monitor or NVMe Base.
You will need to have a PoE capable switch or router (or a PoE injector) installed somewhere on your network for this adapter to work.
